What we do, and how each engagement is documented.

Five ways to engage, from a single entity check to continuous monitoring. Each one draws on public sources, records where every statement came from, and leaves the conclusions to you.

How we work

Public sources, read in full, recorded with their dates.

We do not operate our own detection systems and we do not infer what we cannot show. Every engagement is built from sources that can be named and checked: corporate registers, consolidated sanctions lists and their primary designation documents, court and regulatory filings, archived versions of public pages, local-language reporting, and published maritime advisories. Where a source is behind a paywall or a login, we do not go around it.

Attributed

Every statement carries the source it came from and the date it was published or captured.

Retained

Source documents are kept as timestamped snapshots with their SHA-256 hashes, so a finding can be checked against what we actually read.

Cross-checked

Identification of any named party is confirmed against two independent sources before it enters a report.

We supply verified facts and their sources. No risk ratings, no scores, no recommendations.

Method testing

Before a service is offered, it is run end to end on a real, publicly documented subject - with no client, no fee, and the same standards applied to paid work. These exercises exist to test the method, measure how long it takes, and find where it breaks.

The most recent was a full maritime activity assessment of a vessel subject to an OFAC designation, completed in August 2026, producing a documented record of the vessel's identity, registration history and publicly reported activity, and a measurement of how long each stage actually takes.

This is published as a statement of practice, not as a case study. There is no client and no engagement behind it.

Sources: Corporate registers in the jurisdictions of incorporation, consolidated sanctions lists, and the entity's own public filings and disclosures.
You receive: A short written answer with the registry record, the officers and shareholders as filed, and the screening result - each item attributed and dated.
Timing: Timeline confirmed with scope.

Enhanced Due Diligence Report

What does the full public record show about this entity?

Sources: Everything above, plus court and regulatory filings, archived versions of the entity's public pages, local-language reporting, and beneficial-ownership sources where the chain can be traced.
You receive: A report covering four areas: corporate structure and beneficial ownership; sanctions and enforcement record; changes to public disclosures over time; and the litigation, regulatory and media record. Where sources disagree, the report records the disagreement rather than resolving it.
Timing: Delivery from 48 hours after scope confirmation.

Vessels and operators

Maritime Activity Snapshot

What is the documented record of this vessel's or operator's activity?

Sources: Published maritime advisories and incident reporting, OFAC and other designation documents with their numbers and dates, reported AIS gaps as documented by named maritime publications, port and registry records, and Copernicus Sentinel-1 imagery retrieved for the dates in question.
You receive: A dated timeline of the record from these sources, mapped where the sources specify locations, with the underlying documents retained. Reported gaps in tracking are presented as reported, with the publication and date that reported them.
Timing: Timeline confirmed with scope.

A Snapshot covers the activity record of a vessel or of an operator's fleet. The corporate and ownership record of the operating company is the subject of an Enhanced Due Diligence Report.

Sources: A defined subset of the sources above: designation lists, published advisories, and reported incidents for a single vessel or operator.
You receive: A short written answer with what the record shows and what it does not, sources attributed and dated. Credited in full against a Maritime Activity Snapshot if you go further.

Ongoing Monitoring

What changed since we last looked?

Sources: The sources agreed for the engagement, re-checked on a continuing basis after it closes.
You receive: Notice when something on the record changes - a new designation, a filing, an amended disclosure - with the source and the date. No dashboards, no scheduled reports, no noise.
Timing: Ongoing; scope agreed at the outset.

What you receive, and why

Reports set out verified facts with their sources. They do not contain risk ratings, scores or recommendations - and this is a deliberate design choice, not a limitation.

Under EU anti-money-laundering rules, the decision on a counterparty's risk profile sits with the obliged entity and cannot be delegated to a supplier. That decision belongs to you.

What you receive instead is material you can put in front of an investment committee, a regulator or a court without having to defend somebody else's scoring model.

Scope and limits

Public sources only - no contact with private accounts, and no paywalled or login-required content accessed around the restriction.
No risk ratings, scores or recommendations.
Findings are dated: a report describes what the record showed on the date of capture.
Scope and fee are confirmed in writing before work begins.
Client engagements are published only in anonymised form and with written consent.
